Laboratory Spray Dryer S Series

The Laboratory Spray Dryer S Series, designed for research and development, is widely used in formulation technology testing and verification in many fields such as metal materials, chemical materials, food, and pharmaceuticals. The spray status inside the drying chamber can be monitored and confirmed through the visual widescreen viewport. Besides, it is easy to operate and convenient to clean the inside of the equipment due to its compact structure. If processing high-purity products, the heat-resistant HEAP filters (up to 500°C) are optional. 

The configuration, including system flow, atomization mode, powder collection mode, materials, and heat methods, can be tailored to the customer to meet specific requirements.

Specifications of Laboratory Spray Dryer S Series

1. Centrifugal atomizer:

The specially designed centrifugal atomizer is suitable for producing particles from 10μm to 150μm. The particle size can be adjusted by the design of the atomizer disc and the rotation speed. Compared with other spray modes, the centrifugal atomizer will generate powders with narrower particle size distribution(a high peak) and more free fluidity.

2. One-fluid nozzle:

The one-fluid nozzle mode uses liquid pressure to generate kinetic energy. When the pressure increases, the liquid flow rate increases, and the size of the spray droplets will decrease accordingly. According to the different liquid properties and operating conditions, we provide a series of nozzle apertures for your choice.

3. Two-fluid nozzle:

The two-fluid nozzle is recommended when making powders less than 20μm. The two-fluid nozzle consists of two channels, the liquid, and compressed air. The high-speed airflow generated from the compressed air channel instantly atomizes the products from the liquid channel into fine particles and forms powder in particle sizes to ten microns or even single microns after drying, meeting customers' requirements for particles extremely small.

The dry powder obtained by the atomization using a two-fluid nozzle has uniform particles with good fluidity, and its original characteristics remain. This type of atomization is easy to operate and maintain due to its simple structure. In addition, for liquids with high concentration and viscosity, our independently developed nozzles are available to prevent clogging.

5. Easy maintenance: the rotary atomizer is directly connected to the motor. Since there is no speed increase device, it is easy to maintain.
